Pilgrim Honey House

Russian_Queen_3_Laying_websitePilgrim Honey House is a commercial honeybee farm operation owned and operated by the members of Pilgrim Community Ventures.

Pilgrim Honey House exists since 1997.  We started beekeeping in 1991 with Arthur Rochette, a retired beekeeper (Highland Honey House) located in Moose Creek, ON.  In 1995, we began raising our own queens. In 1998, we began participating in the Tech-Transfer Program organized by the Ontario Beekeepers’ Association.  In 2001 we began breeding the Russian Stock.

We are members of the following organization:  Canadian Honey Council, Ontario Beekeepers’ Association, the United Counties Beekeepers’ Association, and the Christian Farmers Organization.  We are registered with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Rural Affairs.  We detain an Ontario permit for selling Queens and Nucs issued by OMAFRA.  This permit is renewed annually. Regular inspections of colonies for brood diseases and Honey Bee Tracheal Mites survey are performed by Bee Inspectors.  The annual permit expires on Sept 30 of each year.

All profit is used towards the accomplishment of our objectives as a non-profit Christian organization.
