In Search Of The Truth, The Whole Truth, Nothing But The Truth!
Christian education based upon Scripture has always been one of the founders of Pilgrim Christian Missionary Bible Training School's greatest concerns. They want to give God's best to their spiritual children and trainees via Holy Scriptures and in allowing them to discover the specific teachings of the Holy Spirit for their personal lives, notably, the purifying work of discipline aimed at producing spiritual maturity in every children of God. Academic teaching alone is insufficient, there needs to be a spiritual follow-up and a special attention to each person’s character development. The cross of Jesus Christ must be allowed to do its purifying work thoroughly in our lives if we are to become useful vessel in the Master’s hands. We take seriously the following admonitions of the Apostle Paul:
"And that from a child
thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto
salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by
inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be
perfect (spiritually mature),
thoroughly furnished unto all good works."
2 Timothy 3:15-17
"...and these things
that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to
faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also."
2 Timothy 2:2
These
verses describe the very heart of the founders and staff members of Pilgrim
Christian Missionary Bible Training School regarding teaching anyone God will
send to them for spiritual instruction and training.
The Lord
placed upon the hearts of our founders to establish autodidactic courses which
would allow God's people in training to learn and to advance at their own speed
and at their own level of understanding. They have prepared these courses for a
number of reasons:
Ø
Instruct
unbelievers in the way of the Lord, to bring them to salvation and eternal
life.
Ø
Instruct
new believers - catechumens - in the basic truths of the Christian life, to
help them live for Christ as they should, and to help them establish true
Christian homes.
Ø
Provide
spiritual and academic courses in order to equip and train the new local Church
leaders: Church elders, deacons and deaconesses.
Ø
Provide
spiritual and academic courses in order to equip and training of future
Missionary Deacons,. Deaconesses and Auxiliaries of the Pilgrim Christian
Missionary Society.
